On October 17,18, and 19th at 6 pm, and October 19th at 2 pm, the theater is presenting their first play of the year, “ Steel Magnolias” by Robert Harling, in the Steele auditorium. The general admission price is $10, and VIP Truvy’s tea time admission is $25 on My School Bucks. The VIP Truvy’s tea time tickets include tea, coffee, cast meet & greet, plus treats from the show provided by Culinary. The VIP Truvy’s tea time admission is for October 19th at 1 pm, before the show starts.
“Steel Magnolias” is a comedic-drama that is based on Harling’s experience with his sister’s death. It also depicts the intense bond created amongst a group of Southern women in Northwest Louisiana. The title, “Steel Magnolias,” shows how the female characters are as mighty as steel but as precious as Magnolias. The play is rated PG and helps celebrate the power of female friendship.
