“It Ends with Us” Novel Review

Skyla Dickerson, Staff Writer

The novel, “It Ends With Us,” written by Colleen Hoover, is a mixture of romance and fiction all in one. The novel is about a girl named Lily Bloom who moved from her hometown to take control of her own life and start her own business. She meets a guy named Ryle and ends up falling for him. Her first love shows up a year and a half later and starts to challenge her relationship with Ryle.

I would give this novel five stars, because the book has great cliffhangers and for the emotion that it shows. The author, Colleen Hoover, sets the scene to where you can imagine what’s happening at that moment in the book, and she adds little details that help when envisioning what’s going on.

This novel portrays a verison of domestic violence and shows how it’s good for you to choose yourself and your well-being even if it’s going to be harder than you could even imagine. And it shows how it helps to have friends who can make you feel strong and how to stand up for yourself.
